VP, Solutions


Position Description
This individual will work hand-in-hand with VP’s of Sales, underpinning the Solutions practice through strong brand insights in driving sales approaches across our portfolio of rightsholder clients, positioning our clients as core value drivers to a prospect’s business and brand needs. The Solutions team within ESP Properties helps drive the overall sales process by delivering prospecting strategies, target outreach approach, brand insights, partnership platform & construct development, customized sales materials/proposals, negotiation insights and ongoing client management. The ideal candidate will have a relentless work ethic, go-getter mentality, deep attention to detail and strong aspiration to drive success forward as a true team player.


  • Develop a clear understanding of our clients’ businesses, with active levels of contact through in-person meetings, conference calls and correspondence
  • Drive strategic ideation of cutting edge, customized platforms/solutions for innovative brand partnerships
  • Guide the insights-led prospecting of relevant brand prospects for our rightsholders’ value proposition
  • Monetize properties’ assets by presenting new & engaging ideas to brands and their agencies
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations, managing more junior team members in early development phase, bringing the power of storytelling to bear in crafting powerful marketing solutions narratives
  • Maintain a visible presence in the market, obtain meetings and develop meaningful relationships with decision makers and brands
  • Manage and inspire a team of direct and indirect reports, providing mentoring and coaching to foster personal development, while nurturing a team environment that facilitates mutual respect and partnership across functions, quality thinking and appropriate risk taking
  • Articulate and present ESP Properties strategic vision and creds within industry and brand forums


  • On average, 12+ years of relevant professional experience with progressively increased responsibility
  • Agency experience a significant plus
  • Possess significant category expertise in sports, entertainment, content, media and/or partnerships industry, with strong relationships and established reputation across industry
  • Experience monetizing, selling and/or buying partnerships (across mediums)
  • Highly insightful & strategic mindset, with ability to drive planning and in turn big ideas, in tandem with ability to guide team through concepting to articulation
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management and clients ranging from senior corporate executives to other strategic partner companies
  • Tremendous integration skills, with ability to work across & in concert with various marketing channels/media disciplines
  • Excellent presentation skills and high level of comfort communicating deliverables across environments
  • Polished, professional demeanor, projecting confidence and presence
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, resourceful
  • Comfortable in entrepreneurial setting where things are more often than not gray, not black and white
  • Deep negotiation experience across multitude of property-types, inclusive of driving final long form
  • Accomplished multi-tasker and team player with strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Exceptional client management skills
  • Familiarity and fluency with variety of research methodologies and tools
